Institute Overview

The International Institute for Management Development, also known as IMD, is a well-known independent academic institution founded 75 years ago in 1990 by business executives for business executives. Situated in Lausanne (Switzerland) and Singapore, IMD has established itself as a hub of business education trusted by executives worldwide. Over the years, the institute has made remarkable contributions to the economies.

IMD offers its students two educational programs, including MBA and Executive MBA. The MBA program is an intensive one-year program that commences from January and continues till December. The classes are composed of a total of 90 students who come from various countries. IMD has also included electives intending to teach students the practical application of concepts like digital marketing, big data, machine learning, etc. IMD's executive program has open enrollment and a company custom program for those following through with their EMBA. The EMBA targets a particular group of applicants that have at least ten years of experience. The Executive program is developed to help individuals learn on the go without leaving their jobs. Primarily the program focuses on business leadership, the advancements of management concepts etc. The EMBA is an outcome of a collaboration between IMD and China's most prominent B- school, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
