Laxmi Narain College of Technology Bhopal was established by Shri Jai Narain Chouksey in 1994. It is widely known as its abbreviated name LNCT. The Kalchuri Education Trust, Bhopal has founded the LNCT college. It was established as a private engineering college. The LNCT is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University for engineering courses, and it is affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal for management courses. The pharmacy courses offered in the college are approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) and PCI (Pharmacy Council of India).
LNCT Bhopal sister institutions Lakshmi Narain College of Technology and Science (LNCTS) was established in 2006 and Lakshmi Narain College of Technology Excellence (LNCTE) was established in 2015. LNCT has also received the Best Institute of Bhopal Award by CMAI. The college has been ranked at 184th position in the NIRF ranking 2021 for the Engineering category. It also got NBA accreditation in 2017.
