Established in 2008, the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram was established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. IISER TVM is the ‘Institute of National Importance. IISER TVM has four schools namely the School of Biological Sciences, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Chemical Sciences and School of Physical Sciences. IISER TVM offers BS and MS dual degrees, integrated Ph.D. and Ph.D. in the following disciplines: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and interdisciplinary areas. In NIRF 2020 ranking, IISER has been ranked 80 in the overall category. The institute is spread over 200 acres of land with the total faculty strength of 63. Admission to BS and MS dual degrees are offered through KVPY, Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced and SCB channels. For Ph.D. admissions at IISER TVM NET/UGC-JRF /CSIR-JRF/JEST/JGEEBILS /INSPIRE-PhD /GATE scores are mandatory to meet the eligibility criteria.
