KTH Royal Institute of Technology, located in Central Stockholm, is the largest technical university in Sweden. With a world ranking of #98 (QS World Ranking 2021), the university contributes to one-third of Sweden’s total technical research capacity. Presently, KTH is home to over 13,000 full-time students and 1,600 doctoral students pursuing over 60 UG & PG-level KTH courses. In the last 5 years, KTH Royal Institute of Technology has witnessed immense growth in terms of the international student population. Courses like Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, saw equal interest from domestic and international students. Admission requirements at KTH include taking tests required to study in Sweden, documents like SOPs and recommendations, along with academic grades (minimum 60% in UG). Over the years, the university has equally grown in the area of education and research. As of 2020, KTH has primary responsibilities for five national strategic research areas, namely, E-science, IT and mobile communication, Transport research, Production engineering, and Molecular Biosciences. In addition to these, the university collaborated with other public sector universities in Sweden- Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University.
