Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Greater Noida was established in the year 2011 by Shiv Nadar. SNU Dadri is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college lies over an area of 286 acres and students and faculty of the University are provided with a number of facilities inside the college campus. Shiv Nadar University has been accorded with the status of 'Institute of Eminence' by government of India. In NIRF 2021 Rankings, Shiv Nadar University has been ranked 84th in the overall category. In the university category of the NIRF ranking, the varsity has secured the 56th rank for two consecutive years - NIRF ranking 2021 and 2020 respectively.
