5 Hexagon Patterns in Adobe Illustrator - A Graphic Design for Lunch Class

This class will teach you how to create five hexagon seamless repeating patterns in Illustrator. Learn how to create a pattern with a white border around the elements and how to make an nested hexagon design with a blend. You can also make a faux hexagon pattern that is randomly colored with a script. You will learn how to make a half-drop repeat pattern, a three-dimensional pattern, and a 'pattern within pattern' effect.

These patterns all make use the Pattern Make tool, which was introduced in Illustrator CS6. It is also included in Illustrator CC (all editions).

This class will teach you how to create a variety of hexagon patterns that can be used on POD products at sites like Spoonflower, and for sale as digital assets.

This course uses the Pattern Make tool in Illustrator CC or CS6 to create the designs. Users of earlier versions of Illustrator will not find the class useful. This class is using Illustrator CC 2019.
