Course Description

Do you want to learn English?

You can learn basic English skills online in this free 4-week course. This course will help you gain confidence in everyday situations as well as improve your listening skills. This course can be used to prepare you for Basic English: Preintermediate.

The course will teach you how to greet new people and what to say to them. You'll also learn how to introduce yourself and participate in conversations. Your listening, reading and speaking skills will be improved. You can use your smartphone or computer to listen to English speakers in different situations. Take quizzes to test your comprehension.

You'll feel comfortable asking questions, discussing friends and family, as well as discussing work and hobbies by the end of this course. You will learn to communicate your likes and dislikes, talk about music and sports, and receive emails from a pen pal. These activities will increase your confidence in basic English.

Basic grammar will be covered, including the subject pronouns and different tenses as well as the verb to-be. You will also have to test your pronunciation skills.
