Course Description

Many Excel VBA developers are out there creating amazing Excel applications. But are they all correctly structuring their code? This course will teach you how to structure your code and make it more reusable. This course, Building Your First VBA Module, will teach you how to use a pre-built app to understand the three types VBA supports: Object, Class, and Standard. You'll first learn the differences and when each type of module might be used. The course then dives into class modules. It explains how to create and use class modules, as well as how to use module events and expose properties using getters, setters and letters. Learn how to test your code, and how to extend the capabilities of your class module with external references. The course will also teach you how to integrate class modules with user forms to create a custom user interface. Learn how to add controls and manipulate user forms via VBA. After completing this course, your VBA skills will be up to par. Software requirements: Microsoft Excel, SQL Server Express and SQL Server Management Studio.
