Course Description

This course will teach you how value is created, captured, and maintained by organizations. This course will help you understand how this process works and what it means for your competitive advantage. You will have a better understanding of value creation and be able to capture and learn tools to analyze competition and cooperation from multiple perspectives including the industry level (e.g. five forces analysis) as well as the firm level (e.g. business models and strategic positioning).

The course will help you: - Understand how managers coordinate various functional areas, resources and systems within a company and align them in the external environment to improve overall performance. - Recognize and apply strategic management tools and frameworks to real business contexts. - Process diverse industry and business information to diagnose strategic issues and evaluate strategic alternatives and create a coherent and executable strategic plan.
