Course Description

This MARI tutorial will show you how to texture a creature model by using image projection and hand painting. The tutorial will begin by showing you how to import displacement information from another program into your new MARI project. We will then focus on the painting of small details and bumping up our creature. Next we'll learn how to use Paint Through to create photographic texture in various areas. In an attempt to bring the two together seamlessly, we will be switching back and forth between painting and image projection. We will then learn several techniques to color correct both photographic and painted textures. We will also learn how to bake our textures and export them to our primary 3D program. You should now be able blend hand-painted textures and photographic ones in your MARI projects after completing this tutorial. MARI 1.4v2 software required
