Course Description

This class will cover the basics of visual design theory and how it can be applied to your visual design projects. We will also discuss the difference between art & design. This class is for anyone who is just starting out in design or needs a refresher. This class will help you develop the creative confidence to communicate your design decisions and design ideas confidently.

I am a self-taught graphic designer, UI, UX, and visual designer with over 10 years experience (designing for large and small companies as well as individuals). I have condensed the knowledge that will help you understand many of the terms you will encounter in the design industry. This has helped me in my professional career as a designer. I will present it casually and simply to make design theory accessible to beginners. Bonus content is also included that explains the fundamentals of visual design every designer should understand.
