Course Description

Working with large-scale data sets requires a solid understanding of Big Data platforms such as Apache Spark and Hadoop. This course, Developing Spark Applications using Python & Cloudera, will teach you how to process large amounts of data at scales that you thought impossible. You'll first learn the details of Spark. Next, we'll be exploring the RDD API which is the original core abstraction for Spark. You'll also learn how to use Spark SQL and DataFrames. This course will give you a solid foundation in Apache Spark with Python, Cloudera and DataFrames. This knowledge will be invaluable as you work to create large-scale data apps that allow you to work efficiently with Big Data.
