Course Description

This is the first of six courses that will equip you with the skills necessary to take on a introductory role in project management. Project managers are responsible for leading, planning and executing critical projects that help organizations succeed. This course will teach you the basics of project management and give you a better understanding of your responsibilities as a project manager. After completing the program, we'll introduce you to possible job opportunities. You'll have the opportunity to learn from Google project managers throughout the program. This will allow you to build your skills for job applications.

This program will prepare learners to apply for project management jobs at a introductory level. You don't need any previous experience. This course will help you to: - Define and explain project management. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of project managers across many industries. Describe the essential skills required to be a successful project manager. Describe the project's life cycle and the importance of each phase. Compare and contrast different approaches to program management and decide which one is best for your project. Describe organizational structure and culture, and how they impact project management. Describe the role of project managers in change management.
