Course Description

Credit plays a significant role for people as well as a major source of financing for companies that make Capital expenditures (CAPEX). In this class we will discuss key aspects of lending, such as the distinction between trade and traditional loans, credit, the various types of interest, various types of loans, the places where collateral security is a factor and the best way to create an amortization plan to reduce the amount of debt that is incurred in the short term. We will go over the structure and how it can impact the different characteristics of loans before delving into a variety of assessment tools for qualitative purposes and a list of most important financial ratios analysts will consider in assessing the creditworthiness of a business. We also take a step back to examine the current credit landscape to help students to understand the various job opportunities are available for future credit professionals.
