Course Description

One of the most important types of Power Electronic Converters is DC-DC converters. The applications of DC-DC converters range from low power to high power. It is an integral part of electric vehicles, so it is important for both Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers to be well-versed in the subject.

This course teaches students how to analyze, model, and design non-isolated DC-DC converters. Students will be able to design DC-DC converters for their own applications. Simulink and MATLAB will be used to simulate the simulation. This course will cover the basics of Bode plot, transfer function, and how to get the Bode plot for any converter. This course will also cover the various applications of non-isolated converters in different fields, which will assist learners in designing the converter for their particular application. This course will also cover the design and applications of rectifier circuits. This course will provide information on rectifier circuits that can be used to address the problems in power electronic industries.
