Course Description

This course is intended for all levels of executives, professionals as well as students and those who are interested in using efficient prompt engineering methods to maximize the potential of generative artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT. Prompt engineering is a method to efficiently guide the generative AI models and manage their output to achieve desired outcomes. In this course, you'll discover the methods, strategies and the most effective methods for writing efficient prompts. Learn about prompt strategies such as zero-shot and few-shot which improve the reliability and quality of large-language models (LLMs). Also, you will be exposed to various prompt engineering techniques such as Interview Pattern, Chain-of-Thought, and Tree-of-Thought that aim to provide precise and pertinent responses. The course will introduce you to the most commonly-used prompt engineering tools such as IBM watsonx Prompt Lab, Spellbook, and Dust. The hands-on exercises provided in the course provide opportunities to maximize outcomes by developing effective prompts within The IBM Generative AI Classroom. In addition, you will hear experts on the methods and tools used in prompt engineering as well as the art of writing prompts that are effective.
