This lab will show you how to create an unencrypted instance using the Encrypt option.

This lab will be practiced by you not enabling encryption on DB Instances while creating.

Introduction

Amazon RDS can encrypt your Amazon RDS DB Instances.

We can encrypt DB instances, automated backups, read replicas, snapshots, logs when the encrypt option for the AWS RDS Resources is enabled

Amazon RDS encrypted DB instance uses the AES256 encryption algorithm to encrypt data on the server hosting your Amazon RDS DB instances.

Encrypt can only be activated when the DB instance is launched. It cannot be disabled after launch. However, encrypted copies of unencrypted snapshots are possible.
