Federation is a way for organizations to allow external parties to access their applications, whether they are on-premises or in the cloud. Federation allows external identities, whether they are from partner organizations or contractors, to access published applications in another organisation using their own user account or personal social media accounts. This video course is primarily about the federation and management of identities using Active Directory Federation Services, (ADFS), and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
This course starts with an introduction to identity Federation to help you understand the importance of federation in sharing and accessing resources across businesses. Next, you will learn how to set up ADFS in both a single organization or a business-to-business (B2B) environment.
You will also learn how Azure AD functions as a federation broker and implement ADFS infrastructure in Azure AAS (Infrastructure as a Service). Next, you will register a custom domain in Azure AD. You'll also sync their on-premises users to Azure AD via Azure AD Connect. You'll also learn about Azure AD B2B collaboration, how to create a tenant, and how to register a sample app in an Azure B2C environment.
This course will teach you identity federation and show you how Azure AD can help you do it.
Disclaimer: This course doesn't cover web application coding to make an application claim aware. Demonstrations were made using ready-made samples.
