Course Description

How can internal analysis be a key factor in a company's success?

This two-week course will teach you how internal analysis tools can make a difference in a company's decision-making and strategy.

This course will examine the value chain, how value is created and lost, and why strategic capabilities are important. This course will allow you to examine why certain organisations are more successful than others. You will also explore how internal resources and competencies can help build a strong business strategy.

You will need to understand intangible and tangible resources (also known as physical assets and resources) and how they relate to a business's industry life cycle, from growth and maturity through decline.

Microanalysis can reveal the internal potential of an organisation in terms cost position, competency and market viability.

An internal analysis can include measures that give useful information about the company's strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and opportunities. This is called a SWOT analysis. This simple tool can give companies an edge over their competitors.

The framework concept, which includes the industry life cycle, will also be discussed. Finally, you'll be introduced to organisational goals and how they might be implemented.
