Course Description

AutoCAD is used to create most factory layouts. This is because many engineers are familiar with it and it can be done quickly. AutoCAD does not have tools that can help you determine the optimal layout, or how your layout will look in 3D. This course, Introduction to Autodesk Factory Design Utilities teaches you the basics of these tools. You'll learn how to create a 2D representation of your factory, generate a 3D model for exploration, and create objects specific to your layout. You'll learn how to layout your factory schematically and identify bottlenecks during manufacturing. Then, you will use an enhanced library to populate your factory floor quickly using familiar AutoCAD tools. Next, you will see how a 3D model can be built that allows you to virtually tour your layout. You'll also learn how you can add custom objects to your factor library and how to use the 3D model. This course will provide you with all the basics and workflows required to start laying out your factory floor using the powerful and efficient Autodesk Factory Design Utilities. Software requirements: Factory Design Utilities and Inventor 2017, AutoCAD 2017, Navisworks Manage 2017.
