Course Description

This course will teach you how to use DUIK, the IK rigging plugin for After Effects. This plugin is powerful and allows you to quickly and easily animate characters with IK functionality. First, we will learn how to set up and rig the character manually as well as automatically. Once the rigging is complete, we will move on to some tips and tricks for creating a walking cycle. The next step is to learn how to add background elements and loop animations. We also learn how to transition between different types of animations if you use the looping expression. First, you'll need to download the DUIK plug-in from duduf.net. Then you can start creating your own animated characters. You'll be able to both manually rig your character and use the automated functions for more complex characters by the end of the course. Software required: After Effects CC 2014. DUIK 14.23.
