Course Description

*Note: I offer 1:1 personalized instruction if you need additional assistance with this project. Email me! Jeff@All67.com

This class will cover each step of leather jacket construction and show you how to make your own. We will cover the design process from the beginning, including the selection of materials, cutting, binding, interfacing, sewing zippers and attaching lining. I will also cover the tools, machines and processes that are unique in leather garment construction.

This course is advanced and requires prior experience with industrial sewing machines. But, this is not a requirement. You can learn the basics of sewing quickly and easily online or through in-person classes. This is how I learned it, and I encourage beginners. These skills can be used throughout the process of learning how to sew and can be applied to any type of material, not just leather.

Unfortunately, the pattern in this class is no more available for purchase. For an alternative option, I suggest: https://www.stylearc.com/shop/sewing-patterns/ziggi-jacket/ (inexpensive and good! )

It is dangerous to work with sewing equipment, machines and shears. Use all tools with care. This video lesson does not contain safety tips or precautions. Safety information for the tools and machines that you use should be reviewed. Jeff Cafone LLC and Jeff Cafone are not responsible for any injuries or damages resulting from this class project. This project is undertaken at your own risk.
