Course Description

Visual Basic 9.0 was released in late 2007. It is a mature and sophisticated programming language. The result is a powerful programming environment, thanks to the latest release of Visual Studio and the.NET Framework. This course will introduce the VB6 developer to VB.NET. It covers topics such as tool support, porting options and thinking the "VB.NET" way vs the "VB6 way". Also, it will discuss some of the key differences between VB.NET and COM. We'll also see many VB6 & VB.NET coding examples that include GUIs, data access and classes.
