Course Description

Stop motion lip sync is not as difficult as you might think.

A great way to learn about and to work out your mouth shapes is to simply look at your mouth in a mirror or record yourself speaking the lines.

You can make mouths from clay, fabric or draw them on stickers. It doesn't matter what you do.

This class will cover making a mouthsset and making it compatible with Photoshop. We'll also go over essential lip sync tools within the software. track reading, adding a second character, and using your dope to animate with will all be covered.

Good lip sync is all about practice. There is no right or wrong way to choose the shapes you use. It is possible for two people to choose completely different mouth sequences. This is normal and acceptable. It's all fine as long as it reads well and looks right when you play it back. Do not overthink things. Simple is best.

This course will teach you:

  • How to use audio featureswithin dragonframe
  • How to create your custom set of mouth shapes
  • Best Practices for Storing your Mouth
  • How to break the dialogue downby doing track reads
  • How to Add multiple characters to a scene In Dragonframe

You will need:

  • Dragonframe 4 (a 30-day free trial is allowed)
  • A DSLR compatible with Dragonframe. A full list of Dragonframe compatible cameras can be found here: https://www.dragonframe.com/camera-support/
  • Some clay, paper or fabric (or whatever you'd like to make your mouths go)
