Course Description

This course will take you through the new features in Visual Studio 2012 for ASP.NET Web Forms Developers and show you how they can help make your life easier as a developer. This course will show you the key enhancements to Visual Studio's HTML Editor and how it can be used with JavaScript and CSS. Next, you will learn about data binding. Some significant features have been added to this area including model binding as well as strongly typed data control. There are also enhancements to the ASP.NET framework like bundling and minification JavaScript and CSS, asynchronous module and handlers and SignalR. A number of HTML5 new features are also shown, including Web Sockets, new HTML5 input types and multiple file uploads. This course ends with a discussion about security improvements in ASP.NET, including OAuth, request validation, and support for preventing cross site request forgery attacks (XSRF).
