Optimization is the process of finding the most efficient and efficient solution. In this course in mathematics we will look at optimization from an business Analytics lens. The course will introduce you the to theories, algorithmic concepts, and the applications in optimization.Linear as well as integer programming is taught both geometrically and algebraically and applied to issues involving data. Students will gain a deeper understanding of algebraic formulas and will use Julia/JuMP to compute. The theoretical elements in the class are taught in a way that is accessible and do not require a prior knowledge of math or algebra. The ideal students for this course are students in the undergraduate level, and professionals who are interested in optimizing software. The material in this course includes applications in marketing, logistics project management, finance, statistics, and machine learning. The majority of the material will be taught in lectures and recitation videos. only a textbook that is optional that is free and free of charge, will be utilized. Students who are interested in the course material before deciding on the enrolling in the course can go to MIT Open Courseware version of 15.053 Spring 2013 . The subjects of the 2013 course included Optimization modeling and algorithms, and theories. In a subject that spans six weeks, 15.053x covers about half of the content in the subject of 2013. The main goal on 15.053x is on optimization models.
