Course Description

This course is an introduction to the physics and magnetism of electricity. Learners will be able to understand how electric charges are described in terms of fields and how they relate to electrical circuits once they have completed this course. They will be able to solve physics problems using tools such as algebra, vector analysis and calculus. This course covers the usual topics found in a university physics first-semester course. They include charges, electric forces and electric fields potential, magnetic field, currents, magnetic moment, electromagnetic induction, circuits, and magnetic moments. Each module includes reading links to a complete textbook, video lectures, conceptual quizzes and homework problems. After each module is completed, there's an exam. This course is identical in content and rigor as what is taught on campus. This course will prepare students for their upcoming introductory and advanced physics courses.
