Printmaking at Home: Creating Linocut Patterns

Linocut can be used to create beautiful handmade patterns and illustrations at your home.

Dominic from Attitude Creative is my name. In this class, I will show you how to make your own handmade linocut pattern and how to print them at home with equipment that you might already have in your kitchen.

This class will teach you

• What tools, materials, and equipment are required to make homemade linocut designs
• How to carve lino by artists and create different patterns, marks and textures
• Basic printmaking techniques in a domestic environment
• How to make a repeatable pattern.

This class is for all skill levels and covers all techniques. Absolute beginners are welcomed!

Tools, materials, and equipment

• Lino & Wood Carving Chisel Tool Set
• Artists lino
• Use a cutting mat or something else to protect your work surface
• Tablespoon;
• Hard rubber ink roller
• Craft knife;
• Fibre-based paper;
• Acrylic paint, oil paint, and block printing inks.
