Course Description

This series of After Effects tutorials will show you how to use the Ray-tracing feature in CS6 for creating 3D animated typography. This tutorial is in Illustrator. We start by setting up the foundation for our image. This step outlines how to set up the Illustrator file for After Effects to function. A few scripts can be used to speed up the process for the repetitive and more tedious parts of the project. After we import our Illustrator project into After Effects, the magic begins. To get the best render possible, we learn valuable time-saving tips for Ray-tracing and lighting. This training will show you how to create beautiful typography animations. It also includes tips that can be used in your other projects dealing with similar issues. You will be able to interface between Illustrator and After Effects, as well as learn Ray-tracing workflows that can make other projects much easier. After Effects CS6 is required.
