Did you know that there are a lot of free, copyright-free pictures available online? Many cultural institutions such as museums, libraries, and online art collections encourage artists to remix their photos and make animated gifs. But as you can see, there are thousands of options. So where do you begin?
Don't worry! I'll show you how to navigate this maze of amazing images. I will also demonstrate my methods for narrowing down searches and finding great images for animation. I will also show you how to remix these images and turn them into funny animated gifs.
I will be using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects as well as the iPad's top-selling art app Procreate to accomplish this.
We'll start by exploring the new features Procreate 5X offers. First, we'll use their fun face painting augmented truth tool along with the clone, warp, and adjustments. Next, we'll use Procreate's versatile Animation Assist feature. This allows us to animate four masks using our own acting abilities. The masks that you edit within Procreate can be augmented onto our faces!
These will then be the main characters in a Halloween devilish animated. So don't be afraid of making silly faces and having fun with digitally wearing them! Once you have created your masterpiece, you can export it as an animated gif right from Procreate.
Next, we will look at how to use the many powerful Adobe Photoshop tools to separate, cut out and clone, prepare, layer and layer the main components of an old photo. We can then bring it to life using clever animation techniques in Adobe After Effects. This includes the use of Duik rigs and puppet tools, as well as the wide range of special effects AE offers. Adobe's Media Encoder can convert your composition into animated gifs in different sizes and resolutions.
These gif-making techniques will allow you to create a variety of funny animated gifs. Let's get started and learn how to bring digitised cultural images to life while having lots of fun!
