Course Description

This class will guide you through the process of creating textures for vehicle game assets and taking a blockmesh model from a basic block mesh model.

Blockmesh models can be used to create concept drawings and renderings in a studio environment. The concept art for the spaceship will also be available to reference during modeling, creating an immersive environment that mimics the work of a real 3D artist.

You will have a better understanding of how game-ready assets are made in the game industry after the class is over.

The following tools will be used in the class:

  • Blender
  • Substance Painter

It would be helpful to have a basic understanding of each program in order to follow the videos. However, if you are new to the program there are a few things you need to do before you start. Spend a few minutes studying the hotkeys cheat sheets and the user interface for each program in this class to get comfortable with the programs. Once you feel comfortable with the interface, you can start watching the videos.
