Course Description

Stay at the forefront in the autonomous driving industry. Market researchers predict a $42-billion market, with more than 20,000,000 self-driving vehicles on the roads by 2025. This is the future of the autonomous driving industry. This specialization will give you an in-depth understanding of the state-of-the art engineering practices used within the self-driving vehicle industry. Through hands-on projects with the CARLA open-source simulator, you'll interact with real data from an autonomous car (AV). You'll be able to hear from industry professionals who work for companies such as Zoox and Oxbotica about the benefits of autonomous technology and how it is affecting job growth. The driving environment is highly realistic and includes 3D pedestrian modeling and environmental conditions. After completing the Specialization, you will be able build your own self driving software stack and can apply for jobs within the autonomous vehicle industry. You should have some knowledge in linear algebra, probability and statistics, calculus, control theory, physics, and Python programming. These specifications are required to run the CARLA simulation: Windows 7 64-bit or Ubuntu 16.04 (or earlier), Quad-core Intel processor (2.5GHz or faster), NVIDIA GPU 470 GTX, AMD Radeon HD 6870 HD series card, 8GB RAM, OpenGL 3 (for Linux computers),
