Course Description

This course may also be taken as ECEA 5630 for academic credit, which is part of CU Boulder's Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

This course introduces the basic concepts of quantum theory and presents the theory that describes the carrier behavior in semiconductors. This course combines fundamental physics and application to other electronic devices.

This course will prepare learners to:

1. Learn about the energy band structures of solids and their importance in the electric properties of these materials.

2. Analyze the semiconductor carrier statistics

3. Analyze the conduction properties and carrier dynamics of semiconductors
