This specialization will give learners the foundations and history of ESG investment and a close examination the set of investment strategies that are informed by governance, environmental, and social factors. You will learn about the five paths of materiality and how they interact with or against ESG performance. You will learn about the concepts of positive screening and how they impact ESG performance.

Next, you will examine private environmental governance. This includes the active role of private companies in combating climate change and the parallels between public and private sector. You'll also examine the effectiveness of corporate authenticity, the impact of politics on corporate ESG policy building, and the importance to create independent Directors to protect stakeholder interests and maintain neutrality.

This specialization will equip you with the knowledge and skills to create a solid risk management strategy. It will also help you analyze the complex indexing, measurement, and implementation techniques used in the ESG space. You will also be able to discuss climate disclosures and climate solutions and how social activism impacts the corporate world of the 21st century.
