This skillshare class is divided into two main courses. The first (this one) covers the theory sections that are applicable to all students. I also teach sections on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Dimensions to create mockups. The second class will feature Jeremy Hazel, and his sections using Blender and Affinity Photo. This course covers multiple projects and software. We will start by learning basic mockup theory and how to layout mockups. We will discuss proper shadows, highlights, and creating rich mockup experiences.
Then, we show you how to set up a studio to take photos of mockups such as t-shirts and bottles. To make your mockups unique and custom, learn lighting techniques and photo editing techniques.
We will cover the basics of pre-made mockups as well as how to customize them.
Next, we will learn how to adapt designs and graphics to any image, even free stock photos. You will learn the basics of how to place graphics on tshirts, apparel, mugs and boxes. We will learn how perspective graphics can be applied and how to use warping tools to bend objects to create product label presentations.
We will help you create a presentation for a branding project.
We will make a 3d Box and learn how to layer shadows, highlights, and details to create any type of presentation.
A whole section is dedicated to creating 3D product mockups. It is not necessary to have any previous experience in 3D software, as the course will be taught from scratch.
This course is unique because it offers multiple software options for mockup creation. Lindsay Marsh, Lindsay Marsh, and Jermey Hzel will guide you through projects using Adobe Dimensions and Adobe Photoshop. Jermey Hazel will show you how to use Affinity Products such as Affinity Photo and Blender. This course is suitable for all software types.
A wide range of fully customizable mockup templates that can be used with both affinity and Adobe products are included. This includes branding presentations, tee templates, and many other items.
You will find project files along the way so that you can work side-by-side with us without having to create your own designs. This gives you the opportunity to learn the entire process.
Although you should be familiar with Photoshop and Affinity software, this course requires only a basic understanding. Most learners will find it easy to follow.
