This class, Troubleshooting Adobe Textile Design Problems will cover all aspects of Adobe Textile Designer Extensions and Plug-Ins. I have learned many topics from the Adobe Textile Designer Forums, where users attempt to resolve issues. I have also encountered issues that I will address on screen in order to clarify roadblocks or pitfalls. Installation issues and export issues are the main areas I will address. There are solutions for issues such as the technical button being grayed out and the " oops message, the expired message, and many more. I also address Export To Grid for repeating tiles, how to export as an tiff and how to add watermarks.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop is a plus, but the Plug-In will be explained from installation to export. Although you may have used ATD before, this course will help you to master it. This course focuses on how to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent problems specific to your particular setup.
I will demonstrate how to create a simple pattern, from start to finish, and we will also discuss exporting it. You will be able to use the pattern in a variety of projects or as a collection if you follow the steps.
Lesson 1 Overview & Installation Method #1
This lesson will cover the reasons why installation problems happen and give an overview of the course, including how to handle the " oops " message. This lesson will cover the most common error messages and their solutions. The entire process will be demonstrated along with common pitfalls, and solutions. The Anastasiy Extensions Manager is extensively covered.
Lesson 2: lnstallation Method #2 Explained
There may be some installation problems. I will show you the second method offered by Adobe. This alternative process will be demonstrated in detail.
Lesson 3 - Saving Full Edits in ATD and Workspace Setup, and Export
This lesson will cover saving to ensure full edits of ATD, workspace setup for efficiency, and the first set export issues.
Lesson 4 - Colour Export lsues and Colorway Confusion, as well as Unavailable Options
This lesson will cover exporting options to resolve issues such " technical", greyed out, confusion about colorways, and other options that may not be available.
Lesson 5 - Warning Symbols, Synching, and New Features
Build has expired. Warning messages and symbols are explained and solutions will be discussed. New features will be shown.
Lesson 6 - Exporting the Repeat Tile
This context will explain the meaning of "grid" and show how to use the repeat tile generated.
Lesson 7 - Examining Output and Tips for Creative Problem Solving
This lesson will cover the various output files that we created in class. I will explain why different export types might be needed. I will also offer advice on creative problem-solving and conclude with some closing thoughts.
