Course Description

This series of tutorials will show you how to create and use shapes in After Effects. We'll start with the basics of how to use the shape tools to create shape layers. Then we will discuss the differences between parametric paths and Bezier ones. We will explore the control that we have over stars and polygons, which can allow us to create intricate shapes in an infinite number of ways. The add menu can be used to create new shapes and add shape attributes to existing shape layers. Next, we will import vector artwork from Illustrator. We'll convert it to shapes in order to use the repeater. We will tell a story about shape morphing, and discuss the importance of defining each vertex. You will also learn the importance of stacking order in your shape layer. We'll also combine shape attributes to create particle-like effects. This is mostly driven by changing stroke properties. After Effects CC 10.0 is required.
