Analysts in Accounts Payable ensure that the processing of invoices for their company is on time complete, accurate, and precise. They also take care of analyzing and processing reimbursement for travel and expenses submissions, and ensure that all checks accounts, credit and debit accounts are properly resolved. They also have to maintain and manage all records of payments by recording them electronically and archiving any paper documents required. In all their work, the analysts must adhere to all organizational rules and regulations. In general, accountants are employed full-time in a workplace. The physical requirements for this job are usually minimal, and require lengthy hours of typing on computer or using phone. There is usually no travel required for the position of accounts payable analyst.
The basic requirements for accountant analyst jobs typically require minimum two years of experience in the field of accounts payable, and proficiency in basic computer programs. Although a bachelor's degree in the same field is typically not mandatory, it is desired by many employers. They should also have excellent communication abilities, both in writing and orally.
