Commissions analysts keep a detailed record of financial records to ensure that the books of a business in order. They are responsible for preparing commissions reports, preparing reconciliations, analysing information and importing information from transactions into accounting systems. They can collaborate together with analysts in order to ensure accuracy of the data that is entered into the system and this job requires a keen focus on detail and computer proficiency to make spreadsheets and commission calculation.
Commissions analysts need to be capable of calculating the performance of sales and monthly totals in a ledger. the ability to communicate effectively is essential for this job to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues via phone and email regularly. Decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential in this job.
A bachelor's degree in a finance area is usually needed for analysts who work in commissions, although some employers only require the equivalent of an associate's. The hours of work for this job differ, but the majority of Commissions analysts are employed during regular weekday working hours.
