Description

A facility and building manager is accountable for repairs, maintenance and renovations. They supervise employee and visitor security and ensure that the facility adheres to the applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations. The facility and building manager is also responsible for security of the facility as well as the development and oversight of plans for emergencies that cover a range of emergencies. In the case of an emergency they can assist emergency responders in finding missing people and assessing the condition of the building, coordinating any necessary disruptions to utilities, and informing the appropriate individuals (such as owner of the property) of the emergency. They will also manage emergency repairs to utilities, and inform residents of the facility on restoration efforts.
