Description

Design architects typically create structures, such as buildings or like statues or water fountains for their employers. They are involved in designs from beginning to end, collaborating with clients, drafting and revising draft designs, and observing progress of the project throughout the construction process. Design architects are required to keep their supervisors and team members informed with any updates to their projects. They might visit construction sites to observe the progress of construction in person and assist in troubleshooting when required. In some cases, designers manage construction projects too; they must coordinate the efforts of many team members from the design and construction to ensure that a project is successfully completed within the project's specifications, deadlines and budget.

An undergraduate degree in architectural studies is typically the minimum prerequisite for this job; however, further education is sometimes desired or required.
