Description

An experienced ASIC designer is an engineer or project manager that usually works for a company which develops custom hardware solutions. ASICs are ASIC is an application-specific integrated circuit. Often clients face issues when the integrated circuit is required to make an electronic device complete and the standard chips in the market do not conform to the specifications required. In this case, the customer should contact an ASIC company to design an individual chip.

After receiving the request after receipt of the order, the first ASIC engineer review the specifications to design the circuit. They then create an idea for the chip that is in line with the specifications. at this stage, the engineer's sophisticated understanding of the logic gate and design of integrated circuits are utilized. The prototype is created to test whether the circuit is in line with the expectations. If not then the senior ASIC engineer in charge of design must identify the reasons for the error and make any necessary changes to the circuit. Once a functional prototype has been finalized after testing, the circuit is then sent to a factory to create this circuit to the desired quantity.

Because of its technical aspect of the work due to the technical nature of the work, ASIC design engineers who are senior ASIC design engineers typically have minimum a Bachelor's level in electrical engineering or physics, or in an equivalent area. The senior ASIC design engineers need to be able to communicate effectively and are attentive to the smallest of details.
