The client service executive acts as a link between customers from outside and the internal departments of their company. They communicate with customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings, as in collaborating with other employees to address customer issues. They conduct analysis of the situation to make educated decisions that are beneficial to their clients and the company, as well working with other executives to achieve the goals of their organization.

Executives in client service must respond to inquiries from clients professionally and courteously manner. They are also required to give presentations to management when requested. They also assist in create sales and support strategies, spot efficiency issues, and ensure that case management workflows are addressed quickly. They also look over contracts to ensure that they satisfy the expectations of clients and to ensure that client concerns are addressed quickly. Executives in client service have to prioritize customer cases and escalate problems as required to other departments.
