Supervisors of case management are accountable for the clinical operation and medical supervision of patients on their team across all aspects of care starting with the initial patient's admission until discharge, and even beyond.

They are usually accountable for hiring employees and checking the credentials, certificates and licensing specifications of prospective employees. They also have to be responsible for day-to-day management and supervision of their employees, as well as overseeing and coordinating their daily activities.
