An implementation specialist works with a team to ensure projects are finished on time and use the appropriate amount and type of resources.These specialists must have discussions with not only the technical teams, but also the client, to help determine the best design/specifications for the client. They must help the team to begin meeting with the client, demonstrate how the implementation process will work to the team, and assign team members roles and responsibilities.An implementation specialist coordinates with the team to initiate the connector build (by getting all the permissions and contact names needed to begin). They also need to document all meetings, timelines, and communications with the various teams and the client. Sometimes, an implementation specialist also has to help scale their company’s implementation efforts by creating documents for new implementations, document procedures, and checklists to help identify any potential needs, outliers, or issues with the customer that may arise.An implementation specialist typically needs about five years' experience in a relevant position. They also generally need experience in managing many projects at once, and may need experience in the healthcare industry.
