Description

Job developers are accountable to create resumes, conduct interviews, and keeping administrative documents. They can manage a caseload of 30 or more consumers and are required to complete assessments of their vocational skills with clients to determine their interests, needs and work experiences.

Job developers usually help clients with creating and updating resumes. They can also accompany customers to nearby businesses and help with completing applications for jobs and conducting interviews. They are required to report on financial literacy and job development information on a monthly basis as well as attend local meetings and job fairs, either with or without clients to evaluate how the job market in their area. They can also train employees on support programs, and provide status reports for case supervisors.

An undergraduate degree from sales, human service, or another related area is usually required for this job, prior experience with billing vocational rehabilitation services is extremely beneficial. Candidates should also possess an active driver's license, excellent customer service and ability to communicate and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
