Data integrity analysts analyse the company's computer information to ensure that integrity of data is maintained. They should be proactive in making sure that only authorized personnel have access to the company's information or data and ensure that the computers of the company are running up-to-date firewall and antivirus software. They should ensure that their users are compliant with the company's rules and regulations regarding accessing and using the company's computer information and work to recover lost data, make sure that the information stored within an electronic database is safe, accurate and reliable, as well as keep an inventory of any computer-related errors. They must abide by the confidentiality guidelines for aspects like system access data access, system access, and computer security regulations throughout the day. Data integrity analysts might need to travel to vendor's or clients' offices and also attend relevant workshops, classes or conferences.

An undergraduate degree from information technology, computer science or another similar field is usually required for this job. Experience in a similar job is usually recommended or required however some companies will consider applicants with a lot of previous experience as analysts of data integrity in lieu of having a degree. Data integrity analysts should possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to work on their own with little or no supervision, and function effectively in a group environment.
