Instructional designers of training and development are responsible for the creation and development of instructional material, such as working curricula for a companies, schools, and other organizations. These "designers" focus on the efficiency of the programs and lesson plans and are also tasked with the analysis of instructional methodology.Those in this position "teach the teacher" by developing educational training materials for businesses and organizations and the instructors, teachers, and trainers they employ. A bachelor's degree may be a minimum requirement for the position, and strong technical knowledge is often required to use, and perhaps even develop, online programs to train employees.Instructional designers must be able to work well on teams and meet company deadlines, and have flexible schedules and the ability to implement and lead new training and learning projects.
