With the knowledge of customer buying habits for regions and stores The inventory analyst employs statistical analysis to determine the appropriate level of inventory for the stores. Once a suitable inventory level is established the analyst has to put orders and make sure that the levels of inventory are always met. In addition, the analyst should have exceptional communication skills to work with all those who are involved in the inventory delivery. The inventory analyst has to purchase inventory from suppliers of the company and work with the suppliers to monitor the shipment. If there are any issues with shipping the inventory analyst has to collaborate with suppliers to resolve the issue.

Additionally, the inventory analyst will work with the employees in the retail stores to ensure the shipment arrives, is properly unloaded, and properly stored and stocked as needed.
