They are responsible for protecting the image of their business and ensure that they present it in a coordinated and consistent way, including collecting and disseminating information to journalists and employees.
Media managers collaborate with other key departments within their organizations to develop strategies for social media and manage day-to-day social media-related activities, as well as create and grow the company's social media communities and outreach initiatives. Media managers also collaborate with executive management and staff on breaking news or crises management issues, as required. They also collaborate together with their teams in the design and development of social ads and promotions campaigns.
